78, of Indianapolis, died Tuesday, August 3, 2021. Floyd was born February 10, 1943 in Alleghany County, Pennsylvania to the late Floyd Edward and Ruth (Dudley) Burroughs, Sr. He earned his degree from Purdue University and then worked for Floyd E. Burroughs & Associates, retiring as president in 2017 after 50 years.
Floyd was a kind and gentle soul who was a wonderful and dedicated husband, father and grandfather.
He was a member of Orchard Park Presbyterian Church, various golf clubs, City Club of Indianapolis, the John Purdue Club and rarely missed a Chicago Cubs game. He also supported Boy Scouts of America for many years.
Floyd is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Constance Burroughs; his devoted children, Matthew (Lisa) Burroughs, Mark Burroughs and Michelle McKay; his grateful grandchildren, Leah and Samuel Burroughs and Holly, Colin and Thomson McKay; his dear siblings, Phillip (Melissa) Burroughs, Jane Tuttle and James (Jamie) Burroughs as well as eight nieces and nephews and his dedicated dog Pepper.
Floyd was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Tom Tuttle.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm on Friday, August 6th at Leppert Mortuary – Nora Chapel. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 pm at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
