Family Funeral Care-Rockville West
Fairley Wayne "Bub" Statzer,
60, of Martinsville, passed away on April 3, 2020. Bub was born May 13, 1959 in Ft. Lee, Virginia the son of Lavern Statzer and Ora Lee Smith. He was a diesel mechanic and truck driver for many years. Bub loved being outdoors, rather it be him tinkering on old cars or messing with race cars. He would have his old country music or rock and roll music blaring when he’d pull up. He spent most of his summer nights at Speedrome. He loved his family, friends and fur babies, Kia, Shelby and Cooper with everything in him. Bub loved to watch wrestling and no one could ever top his favorite NASCAR driver, Dale Earnhardt. Bub didn’t know a stranger and would always be there to lend a helping hand. He will be missed dearly.
Bub is survived by his wife; Brenda Statzer, children; Craig (Stephanie) Tussey and Kristen (Edmond) Brown, mother; Ora Lee (Leonard) Smith siblings; Becky Winzen, Amira Inserra, Aaron Statzer, Billy Statzer and Alicia Watts and two grandchildren; Kylie Schaeffer and Kristen Byrd. He is preceded in death by his father; Lavern Statzer and a son; Brandon Statzer. Private services will be held at Family Funeral Care due to the current "Stay at Home" order in place across the country. Fond memories and condolences may be made at www.familyfuneralcareindy.com
