Dr. LaForrest Dean Garner, born to Fannie and Sanford Garner on August 20, 1933, in Muskogee, OK, was the younger of their two sons. "Woody" as he was widely known by family and friends, was drawn to Dentistry and Orthodontics in which he practiced for almost 50 years. Throughout life, he was a vibrant, caring and loving gentleman very much involved in his family, church, and community. LaForrest was a member of Witherspoon Presbyterian Church for more than 50 years.
After a lengthy illness, LaForrest went to his eternal home on Thursday, April 9, 2015. LaForrest is survived by his wife, Alfreida Garner of Indianapolis, IN; his three children: Deana (Alvis) Smith of Hartsdale, NY; Thomas (Sarah) Garner; and Sanford (Marjut) Garner of Indianapolis, IN; two grandsons, Kessler Garner and Kendall Garner of Indianapolis, IN.
