Donald William Jackson Life Journey on Earth Mr. Donald "Goose" W. Jackson was born April 18, 1952 in Indianapolis, IN to the loving and blessed union of Claude W. Jackson Sr and Maxine O. Jackson. "Goose" who most affectionately called by family and friends, attended IPS schools #45 and #101. He graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in 1970. Don retired from AT&T in 2010 after 35 years of service as a linesman supervisor. "Don" was a very dedicated and committed worker and was loved and respected by his co-workers. "Goose" enjoyed bowling, card playing, traveling with his family and definitely spending time with family and friends. Don loved football, especially the Indianapolis Colts team. He never missed watching them play on Sundays in front of the television is where you would find him. "Goose" was often called "Papa Bear" by his daughter Teresa because he loved having his grandson around him whenever possible. "Don" would host many events at his home along with the love of his life, Fiancé Marie Seay who he affectionately called his "Rose". He was a quiet but stern individual. He was a man of few words. He was loved by everyone he came in contact with. Mr. Donald W Jackson transitioned from his earthly life and received his wings on September 18, 2023 at the age of 71 years. He was preceded in death by his Parents Claude and Maxine Jackson, Brothers Claude W. Jackson, Clifton L. Jackson Sr., Sisters Mrs. Maxine E. Hendricks, Willa Lyons, Mrs. Brenda A Harrison, and granddaughter Alaysha Jackson. He leaves to cherish his loving memories to the "love of his life" and 37 year life companion "Rose” Marie Seay, daughters Mrs. Lynetta Elzy (Kevin), Karlis Jackson, Ladonna Jackson, Demetrias Jackson, Teresa Seay, sisters Mrs. Norma J Mitchell (Tommy Jo), Mrs. Rosita Wilkins (Wallace Sr.), Mrs. Vanessa K Allen (Steve P. Sr.), brother Mr. Norman E Jackson, sisters in love Ms. Debra Blueitt, and Mrs. Ann Robinson as well as 11 Grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and other relatives and close friends. A visitation for Donald will be held Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 700 W. 38th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46208. Following the visitation will be a celebration of life at 12:00 PM. Donald will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Cemetery, 700 W 38th St, Indianapolis, IN.
