Derek, you were an incredible person, a great dad and a phenomenal friend. Thank you for always being there. You will truely be missed.

My sincere condolences to family and friends for a life cut short.  Though others may not truly know what you are feeling at this time, there is one who does know-1John 3:20...God is greater than our hearts and knows all things--May you trust in him at this very sad time.

My heart is broken. You will forever be missed and never forgotten. RIH.

I worked with Derek and Brad at Calltech, then with Derek at AT&T. He was always so upbeat and was so proud of his family. May you be at peace, my friend. The world has lost an awesome and thoughtful person. Heaven has gained another angel, and may he watch over your family. Derek you will be sadly missed. May the Lord help the family through their heartaches and sorrow. He was much loved.

My condolences to the family first and foremost.  I met Derek while working at ATT.  I met Brad first because when we were in training together. One day I was waltzing past his desk and he had some snacks and I told him I'll pay if him if he shares. He laughed at me and said check this drawer its always something in it!  And thats how our homieship began.  I am honored to have met such a wonderful kind man that always spoke of his family and friends with such kindness and love. Rih homie see ya on the flipside.

Derek, I've been sitting here for an hour trying to find the words to say. I am so lost for words! You were always like an older brother to me growing up, and even though we had lost touch there for awhile before facebook, you were always one of my dearest friends. Like any siblings, we had our share of arguments, and let's not forget the debates about certain things in life, but that never changed our friendship. You were always a sweet, compassionate, and caring person, and there were only a few times in our lives that I didn't see a smile on your face. I can just picture you now, having a blast in Heaven with your Mom, Ike, Uncle Sam, Aunt Charlotte, and Mom. I will always hold the memories from our childhood close to my heart. Though our lives went in separate directions, you and Brad will always remain my older brothers! I just wish we all would have kept in touch better. Andrea I am so sorry for your loss. In all the years I had known Derek, he had always been a very sweet and loving person and one day your boys will grow to be just as special as their Daddy. R.I.H dear friend. You will be greatly missed by so many, but never forgotten.

I've known Derek and Brad since they began at Eastside Church and watched them grow up until I left IN, Facebook got us back in touch and I could see from his pics and hearing in his voice how much he loved his wife and his boys and Brad and his family. They was always together planning to grow old together. One never knows what the day may hold. I'm still in shock of his passing but treasure the friendship we had during most of his life. He believed in our Heavenly Father and I believe he is there in Heaven. His impression will forever mark our lives. Jesus watch over his family during this loss, until we meet again...

I worked with Derek.  He would always ask for additional work or additional items items to read in order to further his career.  He loved his family and always strove to provide them more.  No matter what happened, he was always the loving, kind force that made things better.  He will be truly missed at Fuzion.

Friends with Brad and Derek all through middle school at George Buck. Both left a lasting impression from their caring and friendship. I am thankful for every memory I have of Derek. My condolences and prayers to to the entire family.

My prayers are with his loved ones! I went to school with Derek and he was always encouraging. He made sure I kept a smile on my face, especially after I lost my mother. It saddens me to hear of this.

We met Derek just this year at Elijahs kindergarten parties. He had very warm and inviting smile. Praying for his wife and sons. Dear God please make your presence felt during their lonliest days. Amen.

I am so sorry for your loss... I feel for the children, his wife, his twin, and the rest of his family.  I grew up going to school at George Buck with Derek from I believe 4th grade and through 8th grade.  He was nice and funny then and grew to be a man with those same characteristics.  Even though I have not seen him since 8th grade, I ran back in to contact with him via Facebook about 4-5 years ago and we talked almost monthly about life events, sports, encouraged me about finding a job, and etc.  I am truly sorry for his passing as it came to bit of a shock since last I talked to him in March, he had said he was doing a bit better.  My condolences and deepest sympathy goes out to all.

Ashley, Brad and family, Our prayers are with you. We so enjoyed watching the boys grow up at Eastside Church of the Nazarene. We need to continue to trust God and His plans for each of you. His presence here on Earth will be missed but we will see him again in Heaven.
