Dan was born May 19, 1944 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Joseph and Catherine Quigley. He was a 1963 graduate of Cathedral High School where he was named All-City while playing for the Fighting Irish football team. Quigley graduated from Ball State University where he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity house. While a senior at Ball State University, Dan served as a member of the Muncie Police Department.
Dan Quigley married Sheila Pehler on August 10, 1968 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Quigley began selling business equipment for IBM for seven years, after his service as a police officer. He later started two successful business software and hardware companies, CPT and later CSI, selling mainly to courts, law enforcement agencies and emergency dispatch. Quigley's career with CSI ended abruptly after a serious car accident in December of 2000.
Dan was a man who really enjoyed living life. He was an avid golfer and runner who also enjoyed boating and taking family vacations. Many remember Dan as the life of the party and that he made many efforts to be there for family and friends in need.
Dan is survived by his wife Sheila Pehler Quigley, his son Ryan Quigley and daughters Erin Cech and Michelle Quigley White. Dan's son, Tom Quigley, died in 2008 in Texas. Quigley is also survived by his grandchildren Michaela Quigley, William White, Liam Zimpleman, Aidan Cech and Lauren Cech, who knew him as "Poppy", as well as his sons-in-law Russ Cech and Charlie White.
Dan is also survived by his brothers Joe, Jerry and Mike Quigley as well as his sister Kitty Quigley (Holmes), along with many beloved nephews and nieces. Dan's sister, Mary Ellen Quigley, died at 9 years of age.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 11th at St. Luke's Catholic Church at 11:30 am. Visitation will be held at 10:30 am before the Mass. St. Luke's is located at 7575 Holliday Drive E, Indianapolis, Indiana.
