Sunrise:
Clois Stephen Jenkins was born October 5, 1929 in Clarksville, Tennessee to Willie Richard and Mabel Savannah Jackson Jenkins--the oldest of six children.
Reflection:
At an early age, Clois accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He split his elementary school years between Clarksville and Indianapolis—after the family move, and graduated from Crispus Attucks High School.
After completing high school, Clois enlisted in the United States Navy, serving from 1951 to 1955. On March 20, 1955, Clois united in holy matrimony to his childhood sweetheart, Beatrice M. Durham Pettiford Jenkins and with this union, they were blessed with 7 children.

Clois departed this life on November 10, 2021 after 92 years of life, love and laughter.
Legacy:
Clois is survived by his children: Karla J. Pate, Kimberly A. Jenkins, Stephen L. Jenkins Sr. (Denise), Marc E. Jenkins Sr. (Deborah), Dominic A. Jenkins (Tamika), Angela D. Jenkins; sister: Floria P. Gatewood; sisters-in-Law: Alice Richards, Nancy Durham, Denice Durham, Adrienne Durham and Vernita “Bonnie” Jenkins; brothers-in-Law: George F. Durham, Sr., Gilbert Durham (Beverly), and Roy Lamberg; 26 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, a host of great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friend Robert “Bobby” Bass.
A visitation for Clois will be held Friday, November 26, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208, followed by a celebration of life at 12:00 PM.
