Christopher Michael Mitchell

Christopher Michael Mitchell, 35, of Indianapolis, passed away December 23, 2018. He was born on October 24, 1983 in Indianapolis as the son of Donald and Virginia Mitchell. He graduated from North Central High School in 2002. After high school, he attended Purdue University where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Leadership & Supervision in 2008. Chris worked at Habig Garden Shop in Nora for 17 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, attending concerts and gardening. He was a truly compassionate man and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Chris is survived by his father, Donald Mitchell; siblings, Dawn Kalinke, Matthew (Allyson) Mitchell, Nicholas Mitchell, Natalie Mitchell and Lucas Mitchell; niece, Casey; and nephews, Austin, Brier, Cameron, Harrison and Adler. Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Mitchell. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 30, 2018 from 12-3pm at Leppert Mortuary – Nora, 740 E. 86th St, Indianapolis, IN 46240. A funeral service will immediately follow at 3pm. Memorial contributions may be made in Christopher’s memory to the organization of the donor’s choice.
