Ms. Cecile D. Treece was born in Morristown,TN on October 29,1955. She was the baby of six children born to Cecil and Dorothy Treece. There she attended Judson S. Hill Grammar School, Morristown Hamblen High School West (Suffer Spring Road), and Walter State Community College.
Cecile was known to her family and friends as “Tudy”. In 1977 Tudy moved to Indianapolis, IN and resided and made it her home until her death.
”Tudy” was a hard worker and was passionate about life. She worked at General Motors and later retired from there. She then worked as a school bus driver for Indianapolis Public Schools and worked there for over 20 years and retired from there as well.
“Tudy” loved her son,her grandchildren, and her family altogether, and she loved to travel. She loved to cook and bake. She loved to meet new people and talk about anything. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved plants and flowers and always had a nice yard full of them. She helped many people throughout her lifetime.
Ms.Cecile D. Treece departed her earthly life on June 21, 2023 at the age of sixty seven years,four months, and eight days. She was preceded in death by her father: Cecil Treece; mother: Dorothy Treece; and brother: Robert Treece.
“Tudy” leaves to cherish her memory her son: Ashton(Donta’); sisters: Vivan(Benny)Marshall, Benda J. Jenkins(Lester), Deloris Turley, and Vetrice Trotter; grandchildren: Hazel Bailey, Ani’Jah and Aaliyah Foster, Ja’Myha, Ja’Naya, James and Jaylen; great grandchildren: Ja’Lyha and Gregory; nieces and nephews: Cecil Jenkins, Tenisha Trotter, Tony Trotter(Jen), Melissa Miller, Richard Turley II(Patricia), Carla Dolton, Leon Jenkins,Teresa Stewart, Margaret Jenkins; lifelong best friend : Davilla Mcdermot, a host of relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
A visitation for Cecile will be held Friday, June 30, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208, followed by a celebration of life at 12:00 PM.
