BENNY received his education through the Indianapolis Public School System, attending School #110 and graduating from Arsenal Technical High School. He went on to further his education at Ivy Tech and IUPUI. Benny also proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.
BENNY worked for Eli Lilly Company for a short period of time. He later moved on dedicating himself to helping ex-felons get on the right path to success in life. He affected and helped change many lives while working at a company named PACE, before he became disabled.
BENNY accepted Christ at a young age and later became a member of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church. He had a heart of gold and a giving spirit. If you let Benny tell it… nobody could dance better than he or make Chili as good as his. Benny used his culinary skills to prepare many dishes for his family, especially during the holidays. He loved to play cards, go to bingo and to the casinos.
BENNY departed this earthly life on Friday, June 4, 2021. The Lord blessed us to be a part of his life that spanned for 57 years, 7 months and 8 days.
he leaves to cherish his memory his two sisters, Cynthia and Terri Cole; brother, Edward LeFlore; four nieces, Dionna Harris, Marlena Cole, Kanea Cooley-Cole, and MarKayla Cooley-Cole; six nephews, Anthony Cole, Christopher Cole, Adrion Brown, Damon Graham-Cole, Eudrice LeFlore, and Markale Hutchinson-Cole; and let's not forget his best friend/his brother from another mother which he confided in, Mr. Richard Wright; and a host of other family and friends.
BENNY was greeted by his parents: father, Obie Lee Cole and mother, Edna Young Cole; grandmother, Agnes Bledsoe; grandfather, Thomas Bledsoe; auntie, Mary "Flo" LeFlore; and nephews, Rodney "Bow Wow) Brown and Terry Cole.
