Barbara Jean Basch

Barbara J. Basch 59, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on Tuesday February 15, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family and friends. Barbara was born October 9, 1951 in Indianapolis, IN the daughter of Jayne Basch and the late John Robert Basch. She worked as a teacher with IPS for many years. She exercised her civic duties by donating her time and money for several causes. She enjoyed traveling, camping, and spending time with family and friends. She will be deeply missed. Barbara is survived by her mother, Jayne Basch; her two sisters, Susan (Jim) Pennington and Shirley (Joe) Linne; her four brothers, John Basch, Jerry Basch, Bill (Cindy) Basch, and Mark (Tammy) Basch; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial gathering to celebrate her life will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, February 21, 2011 at Riverwalk Banquet Center and Lodge, 6729 E. Westfield Blvd in Indianapolis. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Indianapolis, 7929 N. Michigan Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46268.
