Born on November 22, 1935, and passed away on December 3, 2022, was preceded in death by her husband: Willie B. Strong; 5 siblings, 1 grandson, Christopher Beard. She leaves her legacy with her 3 daughters: Cheryl Shields, Pamela (Strong) Tender and Jerilyn (Sue) Strong. Grandchildren, Great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Graduate of St. Vincent School of Nursing in 1957. She was a generous donor toward the church building fund.
Amanda lived a life filled with committed service in her careers and community culminating in numerous recognitions, accolades and awards over the years. She gave that same level of committed service to her family. She will be remembered as the "rock" for her care to family and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, December 17, 2022, at 12 P.M. at Holy Angels Catholic Church, with a visitation from 10 A.M. - 12 P.M.
