Alvin L. Taylor

MR. ALVIN LEROY TAYLOR was born on August 24, 1948, in Indianapolis, IN. He was the second-born child to Chester Carl Sims Sr. and Lilly Bell Sims. Alvin Taylor departed his life on July 30, 2023, at the age of Seventy-Four years old. Preceding him in death other than his parents were one Son Alvin Batts, Daughter Melissa Taylor (Bolton), Daughter Karen Taylor-Cook, and many of his beloved Brothers and Sisters. He leaves to Cherish in Memory his Children Kenny Taylor, Antwon Taylor, Christine Dixon, and Nashan Franklin, One Sister Sheila Adams, One Brother Ricky Lee Sims, along with a host of Grandchildren, Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews. ALVIN served in the United States Army and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal after serving in Vietnam. The Bronze Star is one of the Highest Honors that a Soldier can receive in recognition of a Heroic act in a Combat Zone. Alvin was also awarded medals for being a Marksman and Sharpshooter. Despite all of his achievements in the Military his greatest achievement would have been his Family. Uncle Alvin to many, loved nothing more than spending time with Family and or going Fishing any chance he could.
