Allen Thomas Sloan Jr.

Allen Thomas Sloan Jr., age 62, of Beech Grove, Indiana, formerly of Lexington, Kentucky, entered into rest at 5:19am on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Community South Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. Allen was born July 25, 1959 in Lexington, Kentucky to the late Allen and Patricia (Tuttle) Sloan. Allen attended Whiteland High School. He married Veda N. Russell on June 26, 2015 in Franklin, Indiana. Allen worked as a mechanic on semi trucks and served 14 years in the Army. He retired after battling cancer. He was a loving person in his own way and loved doing projects and rebuilding things, which he was very good at. There was nothing he could not do or fix as he was a Jack of All Trades. His favorite thing to do however, was to play war games on his phone.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 7 years, Veda N. (Russell) Sloan; children, David Sloan and April Willoughby (Josh); 3 grandchildren; brothers, Shelby Sloan and Timothy Sloan (Rhonda); uncle, James "Tuffy" Tuttle (Carol); aunt, Debbie Seraji (Mohammad); 5 nephews; and a lot of friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208, followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 PM.

Allen will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis, Indiana with military honors.
