Allen M Below

Allen was preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary Patricia. He is survived by his daughter Dr. Mary E. Below and his son James F. Below.

In the last years of his life, Allen was grateful to have had the caring kindness of Gloria Garwood, Jim Mehallick and Jo Kane. He also very much enjoyed the company of his adored dog Gracie and the cat Katie (also known as the littlest Below).

He was born in Lisman, Kentucky on April 11, 1922 to A.M. and Minnie Below and was the youngest brother to Sibs, Carson, Forrest, Jettie, Lloyd, Norman, Lynn, Minnie and Irene. They all preceded Allen in death.

Allen had a rewarding career at Naval Avionics. In retirement, he had a happy second career developing lake properties. He enjoyed traveling both with his wife and for work. He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and Christ the King Catholic Church.

Visitation will be Monday 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 4901 East Stop 11 Road. Services will be Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church.
