Alice Marie Williams

Alice Marie Williams, 102, of Indianapolis, entered into eternal rest on July 27, 2023 in Indianapolis. She was born on July 12, 1921 in Shelbyville, IN to the late John and Luella Steiner. Alice had a love for food and you could often find her cooking or looking for and keeping her next great recipe. She enjoyed shopping, spending time with family, and she had a fondness for pets. Alice was a medical transcriptionist after her retirement from BLM. She was an expert at short hand and dictation. After losing her vision later in life, talking books became one of her favorite things to do. She had a zest for life and she will be forever missed by so many but her legacy and all of the fond memories will be cherished for many years to come. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Wayne Williams; and her daughter, Nancy Chandler Gibboney. Alice is survived by her son, John (Kay) Cooney; daughter, Marilyn Sue (Kelly) Bossard; grandchildren, Bradley (Andrea) Keck, Willie (Anna) Chandler, Susie King, and Cathy (Billy) Houston; along with her great grandchildren, Zach (Sydney) King, Zane King, Alex Houston, Zach Houston, Sophia Keck, and Chloe Keck. The family would like to extend their appreciation to her caregivers, Lori Harvey and Terri Bradford. Thank you for not only providing the best care for Alice, but also for all of the love and support that you provided to the whole family. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2023 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Little & Sons Funeral Home – Indianapolis, 4901 E. Stop 11 Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46237. Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023 at 11:00 AM with additional Visitation an hour prior at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery.
