“Albert C. Fritz II, age 74, peacefully passed away on January 31, 2024 in Northport, Florida. Born on January 19, 1950 in Indianapolis, IN, he was beloved son of Kennard A Fritz and Mary Jo Zimmerlund.
Albert attended St. Joan of Arc grade school in Indianapolis. He then went on to Chatard High School, where he excelled in football, receiving numerous honors. He was named Chatard's All-City, All Conference and All Catholic teams. His outstanding athleticism led him to be one of the first inductees into Chatard’s Athletic Hall of Fame. In recognition of his talent and dedication, he was awarded the MVP of Chatard's football team. Albert’s football prowess earned him a scholarship to Butler University, where he graduated in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
After completing his education, Albert embarked a successful career with Colibri Group, a prominent jewelry manufacturer based in Providence, Rhode Island. Through his hard work and determination, he quickly rose through the ranks to become the youngest Vice President of Sales for major accounts. His territory spanned the US and across many countries, including Bermuda and the Caribbean. After dedicating thirty years to Colibri Group, Albert retired, he was honored at an awards dinner in Gillette Stadium as his company’s only “Most Valuable Player”in history. Retirement allowed Albert to enjoy his lake and beach seasonal residences, in Monticello, Indiana and Clearwater Beach, Florida.
Albert was known for his loyalty to his colleagues and friends, he believed in the power of loyalty to build strong connection and create a sense of unity. He loyalty was a testament of his character and will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of determination, athletic prowess, loyalty and love for his family and friends will forever be cherished.
Albert is survived by his partner Nelli Hill; his four children, Amy (Tom) Kaminski, Ashley (Kipp) Schulties, Albert Fritz III, Andrew Fritz; sister Jackie Jones; brother Randy Fritz. He was blessed with seven grandchildren, Elliana, Carter, Ava, Kolton, Alexandra, Gabriella, and Kane. Albert is preceded in death by his parents Albert C. Fritz and Mary Jo Zimmerlund. He will be buried next to his father at Crown Hill Cemetery.

A visitation for Albert will be held Wednesday, February 14, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary, 2126 E 71st St, Indianapolis, Indiana 46220. A visitation will occur Thursday, February 15, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 4217 Central Ave., Indianapolis, Indiana 46205. A mass of christian burial will occur Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 4217 Central Ave., Indianapolis, Indiana 46205.
Albert will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis, Indiana.
