Mom passed away peacefully April 22, 2021 at the age of 90 years. In the past 10 months, Mom fought a brave battle with cancer before God called her home to once again be with Dad.
Anita will be lovingly remembered by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sisters, brothers and many friends.
Anita was born and raised in Montmartre SK, then met and married Edward Young and lived on the farm north of Vibank. Together with Dad, they worked hard, raising their family, farming and eventually moving into town. Mom worked beside Dad as the custodians at the Vibank School for 17 years before retiring to enjoy numerous hobbies. Every spring she looked forward to planting her garden. Visiting with her family and friends was always an enjoyment whether at her house or away from home.
Anita was predeceased by her loving husband Edward Frank Young; parents Edmond and Alma Perras, Eva Perras and Dad's parents Jacob and Anne Young. She was also predeceased by her brothers and sisters: Remi Perras, Leon Perras, Florence Paziuk and Jean Potts; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Chris Young, Elmer Young, Mike Young, Lena Kraft, Jean Selinger and Margaret Tverkutes.
Mom's memory remains with her children: Lynette (Wayne) Kowalyshyn of Montmartre, Cindy (Pat) Fuchs of White City, Edwin (Yvette) Young of Vibank, Corinne (Clifford) Lockert of Endeavour and Dean Young of Vibank. She has 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
