

Larry was born in Appleton City, Missouri on October 2, 1941 to Victor and Eileen (Volmer) Strope. He proudly served in the US Army. He worked for and retired from General Motors. Larry had a love of raising, training, and breeding horses. He gave anything to have his family around from weekend camping trips, holidays at his home, and any other reason just to get together. Larry was a true cowboy. He will deeply be missed.
Larry is survived by his wife of 31 years, Karen Strope of independence, Missouri; children, Jeffrey (Amber) Dills of Independence, Shaun (Eugene Rose) Hall of Lee's Summit and Terry (Trish) Hall of Raytown; grandchildren, Cody, Cheyanne (Jeff), Tyler (fiancé, Alejandra), Kaylee, Aiden and Karlie. He was preceded in death by his parents and sons, Mike Brennan and Adam Dills.
Services for Larry will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 606 Kansas Ave., Montrose, MO 64770. Family and friends will be received on Wed., November 9, 2022 at 10am with Mass of Christian Burial following at 11am. A private burial with Military Honors will be held at Higginsville Veterans Cemetery.
