Jill Elaine McCarty

She was born in Kansas City Missouri on May 19th 1960 to Stanley and Shirley Whiting.

Jill attended Truman High School but graduated from Blue Springs High before going to work for Southwestern Bell and later on retiring from Unilever.

Jill was a beloved mother, daughter, aunt and meme. She loved and was very proud of all of her children no matter what, and strived to make sure they knew that. Jill was a hard worker who had a passion for being near the water, planting flowers, garage sales and thrift shopping. She kept a beautifully decorated home and was always helping anyone and everyone she could possibly help. Some of her biggest joys were doing lunches and going out with her friends and spending time and making memories with her kids and most of all her favorite person, granddaughter Caroline.

Jill was preceded in death by father Stanley Whiting, and brother Ronald Whiting, and is survived by mother Shirley Whiting, daughter Amy McCarty, sons Matthew and Jared McCarty, granddaughter Caroline McCarty. As well as extended children/grandchildren, step-daughter Kristin Resig and her children Allizayah, Aryn, Zohye, Maddox and Jaxson.

Visitation will held on Wednesday, January 8th, 2025 from 3:00pm - 5:00pm, with a service starting at 5:00pm at Newcomer's Noland Road Chapel located at 509 S. Noland Road, Independence MO 64050.
