Jerry was born June 25,1940 in a house that his father, Claude Edward Lewis had built when he was just 19 yrs old and his mother, Emma Laverne McHardie, was just 18 yrs old. Jerry was one of three children.
Jerry was very active throughout his life, he is a Marine Veteran, he was a prison guard for Camp Elliot, worked for his father for several years doing excavation work and at a gas company, a Cub Scout Leader for 35 years, spanning from 1970-2005, Jerry worked for Lake City Ammo in MO for 33 years until retiring.
His hobbies included small motor repair, making flies for fly fishing, photography biking and playing a variety of instruments.
He belonged to the Fairmount Christian Church in Fairmount, MO for about 50 years and a couple of years at Baptist Church in Susquehanna.
A personality larger than life, Jerry will be missed by all that knew him.
