Jerry Gene King, age 81, of Independence, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. Jerry was born July 19, 1942, in Independence, Missouri to the late Howard D. and Margaret P. (Lewis) King.
Jerry was retired from JE Dunn Construction. He severed 4 years in the United States Air Force and served in the Vietnam War. Jerry loved birds and his little dog Penny.
Jerry was also preceded in death by his wife, Linda King on March 22, 2020. He is survived by his son, Rodney King, and 2 sisters, Beverly Waterman and Sheri Greenfield.
A visitation for Jerry will be held Saturday, September 2, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Newcomer's Noland Road Chapel, 509 S. Noland Rd., Independence, Missouri 64050. Funeral service will follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 AM. Committal service will occur at 2:00 PM at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 701 N. 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66112.
