Janice R. Thompson

Janice was born on August 9, 1939, daughter of the late Rex B. and Evelyn G. (Friesz) Lawler, in Independence, Missouri. She attended Blue Springs High School where she graduated in 1957. Janice was a lifelong bookkeeper and retired from Herford, Shelton, Mertens, & Couch accounting firm. After hours, and upon retirement, she enjoyed spending her free time gardening, embroidering, and being with friends and family.

Janice is survived by her daughter, Tamara J. Crumby; her grandson, Brian P. Wildschuetz; her granddaughter, Jenna J. Anderson (Curtis Anderson); her granddaughter, Dani M. Raine (Brian Raine); her six great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Martha A. Lawler; two nieces and one nephew.

Janice was preceded in death by her loving parents and her brother, Gerald R. Lawler.

A visitation is scheduled for Friday, January 14, 2022, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. at Newcomer’s Noland Road Chapel at 509 S Noland Road, Independence, Missouri. A memorial service will immediately follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will follow at Floral Hills Cemetery at 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, Missouri.
