Dennis was born in Kansas City August 22, 1955 to James Carleton and Patricia Catherine O'Leary McGlone. Dennis was a 1973 graduate of Northeast High School where he played running back for the Vikings with his 2 brothers and many friends as teammates. He also attended Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg.
Dennis was united in marriage to Glenda Goff on October 1st, 1981 and they welcomed their daughter Candice Harmony McGlone 10 months later on August 1, 1982. She was their pride and joy and definitely a Daddy's girl.
Dennis had a strong work ethic and was employed by Castle Metals, Kansas City Sanitary Supply and Weld Wheel & Tire before he retired due to disability. Dennis was a favorite of many of the staff and residents at Maywood Terrace Living Center where he resided since 2009. He was known to be ornery but also generous with his treats. He was a jokester who liked to flash his twinkling eyes & dimpled smile.
Before becoming disabled Dennis was an avid bowler & softball player. He loved to shoot pool & play foosball and was known as "Mr. Foos" to his challengers. His love of sports made him a huge fan of hometown teams the Kansas City Chiefs & Kansas City Royals. He loved to watch & cheer them on and was fortunate to see the Chiefs win the Super Bowl in 1970 & 2020 and the Kansas City Royals win the World Series in 1985 & 2015.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents James & Patricia McGlone, wife Glenda Goff McGlone and brother Jerry McGlone.
Dennis is survived by his beloved daughter Candice McGlone, Independence, Mo.; brother James McGlone & sister-in-law Regina McGlone, Blue Springs, Mo.; sister Janice McGlone; Kansas City, Mo; sister-in-laws Carol McGlone, Stover, Mo. & Shannon Thomas, Independence, Mo. and several nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews.
