Carroll C Davis, age 94 of Independence passed away December 28, 2018. Visitation service, Jan. 4, 2019, 10 am to 11 am, Funeral Service 11am. All services at Newcomers Noland Road Chapel. Donations may be made to The Salvation Army or City Union Mission.
Carroll was born Feb. 11, 1924 in New Boston, Mo, to Wade and Winifred(Begole) Davis. He was raised and educated in Linn County, Mo. Graduating from Bucklin High School in 1942.
Carroll served his country by enlisting in the Naval Air Corp from 1943 to 1946.
He married Enid Koffenberger in June 30, 1946 in Kansas City, Mo. She survives.
Enid and Carroll raised four children in Independence; Darrell, April, Randall, and Aaron
He was a master carpenter, a teamster, and operated his own construction buisness, C C Davis and Sons. Carroll then worked for the City of Independence as a Building Inspector, he retired in 1989.
During retirement he and Enid volunteered with various organizations including MCI Hospital and Centerpoint Medical Center. Carroll enjoyed, fishing, golfing, traveling and spending time with family and the grandkids.
Preceded in death by Sister Marguerite, Brother Edgar, and Son Darrell.
He is survived by; Daughter - April (Larry) Lombardo. Sons; Randall (Connie) Davis, Aaron (Brenda) Davis. Sister: Colleen McCollum. Grandchildren; Nick, MIchael, Darren, Chad, Paul, Rodney, Tia, Holly, Leslie. Great Grandchildren: Dustin, Ian, Katie, William, Noah, Zachary, Brodie, Evan, Jolee, Miguel, Ariana, Kaylee, Elise, Kolton. Gr Gr Grandchildren; Emily and Daxton.
