Carl Anthony Leon

Carl Anthony Leon, age 66, of Independence, MO passed away on August 31, 2015 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Blue Springs, MO. Carl was born on April 30, 1949 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Kansas City, MO. Carl was the youngest of four siblings and one of the second set of twins to Andrew and Lena Leon. He was born and raised in a large, traditional, Catholic, Italian family. Carl was married to Patricia Ann Edwards on April 26th, 1969 in Kansas City, MO. Carl retired from Fairmont Zarda, Kansas City’s “hometown dairy.” He spent his free time doing what he loved, fishing and hunting. Carl is survived by his children, Son, Michael Anthony Leon and wife, Sharon of Olathe, KS, Daughter, Jenny Marie Neidholdt of Independence, MO, Daughter, Carla Ann Leon and husband Russell Young of Warrensburg, MO. Carl adored his grandchildren, Anthony Michael Leon, Justin Paul Leon, Makayla Marie Neidholdt, Allison Rae Neidholdt, Randy Young, and Reilly Young. He had a great-Grandson, Hunter Leon. Carl is survived by his older brother, Ross Leon of Topeka, KS, and many nieces and nephews. Carl was predeceased by his wife, Patricia Ann Leon, sister, Theresa Wiese, and Andrew Leon, his twin brother. Visitation will be held September 2, 2015 from 6 – 8 PM at Noland Road Chapel at 509 S Noland Road, Independence, MO. Celebration of life will be led by Reverend Alan Davis on September 5, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Noland Road Chapel with grave side prayers and internment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery at 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64138.
