Betty Jean Reynolds

Betty Jean (Duren) Reynolds, age 93, of Independence, MO, peacefully passed away Sept. 19, 2016, at Katy Manor Nursing Home in Pilot Grove, MO. Betty was born March 24, 1923 in Glasgow, MO. She graduated from Glasgow High School in 1941 and continued her education at the Kansas City Business College. She married Jack Reynolds April 3, 1945 and became a housewife and mother to their three children. Betty was an active member of Mt Washington Baptist Church. She was involved in WMU and taught eight year olds in Sunday School for 43 years. She was mission minded, community oriented, and had a servant’s heart. She lived her life with grace and mercy only seeing the best in others. She was preceded in death by her parents; Cleve and Jessie Duren, brother Marshall Duren, Sisters; Mildred Duren and Nina Duren. Husband Harold F. (Jack) Reynolds. Sons; Donald J. Reynolds and Jack David Reynolds. Grandchildren; David Turner Bass and Laura Beth Reynolds. She is survived by her daughter Suzi Reynolds Bass Moore and her husband Bob Moore of Boonville, MO. Grandchildren; Heather Reynolds, Jacob Reynolds (wife Laurel) and their children Max, Layla and Ava, Jessica Reynolds Mennemeier (husband Jeremy and stepdaughter Avorey) Daughter in law; Glenna Reynolds. Visitation services will be Thursday, Sept 22, 2016, 1-2pm. Funeral Service 2pm, all at Newcomers Noland Road Chapel. Burial to follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery
