Nancy Jo Wiese

Nancy Jo Wiese died peacefully in her Ridgefield, Washington, home in the loving presence of her husband and best friend Friedrich Wiese on August 17, 2015.

Nancy was born in Shelley, Idaho on May 7, 1947 to Dawn K. and Gordon B. Clifford the second of 12 children.

Nancy was preceded in death by her father Gordon B.Clifford, her son Christopher W. Henderson, her brothers -Gregory B. Clifford, Dwight Clifford, and Timothy W. Clifford, and her sister Rebecca S. Clifford.

She is survived by her husband,Friedrich B. Wiese, mother Dawn K. Clifford of Idaho Falls, ID, daughters - Cherie Henderson of Longmont, CO, and Natasha Lund (Brian) of Ridgefield, WA, sisters - Kathryn Jones (Leland) of Idaho Falls, ID, Sydney J. Parker of Pocatello, ID, Bonnie Davis (Duane) of Stanwood, WA, Andrea M. Williams of Pocatello, ID, brothers - Nolan D. Clifford of Providence, UT, Jeffrey Neil Clifford of Idaho Falls, ID, Gordon Douglas Clifford of Boise, ID, and eight grandchildren.

Nancy spent her early life primarily in Idaho and Alaska. She pursued her interests without inhibition and approached her life with a passion and enthusiasm. Her career pursuits included modeling, private investigation, and many years as a personal chef before dedicating herself fully to her art. Nancy was an artist who produced works principally as a sculptor. She also excelled with other mediums including writing, photography, and working in charcoal, pastel, acrylic, and oil. She was a gifted gourmet culinary enthusiast and loved to entertain. Her rose garden and home were among her proudest achievements.

Nancy loved well and was well loved. In 1999 she met her husband Friedrich B. Wiese. They shared not only a birthday, but many interests including, cooking, gardening, music, art, wine, and even shoes. They treasured their time together on the Oregon Coast, residing principally in Alaska, and Washington. They traveled broadly and spent time exploring South America and Europe. Nancy's favorite city to visit was Paris.

Nancy knew who she was and what she wanted from life. She lived her spiritual philosophy which greatly impacted the lives of those she touched. Without a doubt, she was a most generous soul.

The family will receive friends from 3 -– 5 p.m. Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home, 825 E. 17th Street, Idaho Falls.

A Committal service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, August 24, 2015 at Taylor Cemetery.
