Darla Joan Johnson

Darla Joan Hansen Johnson, 41, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. She was born on May 7, 1972, in Idaho Falls, to Darwin and Belva McInelly Hansen. She enjoyed camping and playing with her nieces and nephews. She graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1990 and graduated from the Vogue Beauty College in 1991. She married Duane Johnson on February 19, 1994 in Jacksonville, Florida, in the Lennox Avenue Church of God. She lived primarily in Idaho Falls. She worked at Allwest and Melaleuca briefly but was primarily a mom and wife. She was a member of the LDS 3rd Ward. She enjoyed raising children, playing Zelda, reading and gardening. She touched many lives and will never be forgotten.

Survivors include her husband, Duane Johnson of Idaho Falls; daughters, Megan (Nick) Castillo and Morgan Johnson, both of Idaho Falls; parents, Belva & Darwin Hansen of Idaho Falls; sister, Valerie (Calvin) Schlafke of Hazelgreen, Alabama; brothers, Danny (Sonja) Hansen, Paul (Sheri) Hansen and Jerry (Linda) Hansen, all of Idaho Falls; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Orlow and Mildred McInelly.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 8, 2013 at the LDS 10th Ward Chapel, 4375 E. Sunnyside Road in Ammon. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Darla Johnson Memorial fund at any Bank of Commerce Location.
