Thomas James Doherty

Doherty, Thomas J., longtime resident of Barnstable Village, passed away October 14 at the age of 67. He leaves behind his beloved wife and best friend of 44 years Noreen P. (Keogh), also his brother Edward and wife Rita of Burlington, MA and his sister Patricia DeGraan and her husband Edward also of Barnstable Village. He will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Tom was an employee of the New England Telephone Company for 32 years before retiring to Cape Cod. The things that gave Tom his greatest happiness were the camaraderie of his loyal friends in the Village, spending days in the sun on Sandy Neck and hopping in his trusty whaler for an afternoon of fishing in the bay. Family will greet friends at 10am on Saturday, October 18th at Our Lady of Victory Church, 230 S Main Street, Centerville, MA. A funeral Mass will follow at 11am.
