Noella Munsell

Noella was born on January 14, 1938, the seventh of nine daughters to the late Albert A. and Marie Rose LaBelle of Hampden, Ma. She was pre-deceased by her husband of 62 years, David P. Munsell. Their home in Barnstable was a gathering place for the families of their 5 children, 18 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, extended family and friends creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Noella was an expert quilter and artist. Her quilts are works of art that combine her love of fabric, color and shapes that leave a legacy of comfort and love. She often described her quilts as giving her loved ones a hug when she was not there. We will wrap a quilt around us, and we will miss her every day.

She leaves her three daughters: Diane Miller and her husband Daniel of Sandwich, Annemarie Allen and her husband Michael of Sandwich, Mary Gonsalves and her husband Timothy of Albuquerque; two sons, David Munsell Jr. and his wife Diane of Barnstable, and Thomas Munsell and his wife Leslie of Sandwich; two sisters, Judith Trembly of Springfield and Cheryl Hartstern and her husband Robert; 18 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

A funeral mass for Noella will be held on March 21, 2025, at Our Lady of Victory Parish in Centerville at 12:00 Noon. Burial will follow at Lothrop Hill Cemetery in Barnstable.
