John was born in North Adams, MA on May 4, 1964, the son of the late Shirley A. and Russell W. Durant, Sr. of North Adams, MA. John was employed as a Property Manager for many years. He was a 1982 graduate of McCann Vocational School.
John is survived by his children, Daniel Joseph of Hyannis, MA and Sarah Marie of East Falmouth. John’s wife, and the mother of his children, Kelly (Rota) Durant predeceased him.
John is also survived by his sisters, Michaele Durant (Thiers) of Pompano Beach Fl and Patricia Clairmont (Lawrence) of Adams, MA and his brother Richard Durant (Mark) of Fort Lauderdale, FL. He was predeceased by his brother, Russell W. Durant, Jr. He has several nieces and nephews and cousins.
A visitation will be held at the Doane, Beal, and Ames Funeral Home, 160 West Main St., Hyannis, MA on Sunday, October 31, 2021 from 1-3 pm. At a later date John will be interred with his parents at Southview Cemetery in North Adams MA. The burial will be private.
