Born on October 6, 1930, he was the son of the late William L. and Rose (Vahey) Kenney.
James was an outstanding 3rd baseman for North Quincy High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War stationed in Okinawa, Japan. James was well loved by everyone than knew him, especially by his coworkers at Boston Edison, where he worked for 38 years.
Survivors include his brothers, William Kenney of Venice, FL., Richard Kenney of Osterville, MA, Robert J. Kenney of Braintree, MA as well as many nieces and nephews.
