I woke up this morning thinking it was my childhood friend Jimmy Dill's Birthday only to find he passed. We often celebrated our 
birthdays together seeing mine is the 30th...Great guy and will be missed! 

Jimmy Dill was simply a phenom!  I met him at New Hampshire College and marveled how he was great at every sport he played.  By the way, he was a great student too!  Three great memories I had of him were (1) he had lots of curly hair, (2)  he always smiled and (3) he gave his best leaving it all on the field, court or life.  So sorry to hear about his passing. My condolences go out to Chris, Brandon, Tyler & the extended Dill family.  I worked with Jim for almost 10 years and he was a joy to be around.  Always a smile and a good story to tell.  He will be missed.

My condolences go out to Chris, Brandon, Tyler & the extended Dill family.  By virtue of having a desk right outside Jim’s office at Lindt, he was often the first person I saw when arriving in the morning and the last to leave as I checked out at night.  In eight years of knowing him he never missed the chance to take five minutes for a quick catch up chat, whether it was about work, personal life, or anything in between.  He was a fantastic leader, mentor and an even better person, and will be sorely missed by everyone.  I will miss these conversations and Jim’s infectious personality & laugh – Lindt wont be the same without you.

I met Jim 8 years ago through Lindt. He was passionate, hardworking and kind. He definitely made a positive impact on my life and he will be greatly missed. How does one remember Jim?  Is it telling a story,  about shared Reach the Beach hotel rooms, 4am return trips from Logan (and yes he showered and went to work early that day) or maybe how he lent this California kid a generator to ride out my first ice storm? I’ll choose to remember Jim’s unwavering commitment, relentless passion and boundless energy.  He was a mentor to many and a friend to even more.  While our time together was short, the lessons he taught will live on much longer.  To his family, thank you for sharing your son, brother, husband, and father with all of us, he will be missed greatly. 

Condolences to the Dill Family. I have great memories of Jim. When I began working at Lindt fourteen years ago, Jim always took the time to stop, and talk about work or life in general. He had a great sense of humor, and I will always remember his smile. As the years passed, and the company grew, it never deterred Jim from stopping, and asking me what was going on in my life.

He was a man of great humility, and great kindness. Even though we were all working, he took the time to say hello, and ask how I was. Jim always made sure to let me know that I was four months older than him. He had great pride in what he did, and it showed. I will miss him, and he will  not be forgotten. Life is a journey, and I am grateful that I met Jim on this journey.

I have shared a picture of myself, and Maya when we attended our 10 year anniversary, and as always there is Jim with that great smile. 

To Chris, Brandon, Tyler & Your Extended Family ~  You know me as Jim's admin. (a/k/a his "work mother") for many years at Lindt.  I am fortunate to have many wonderful memories of working on projects and business trips with Jim.  He always made sure some great laughs were included.  I'm always going to miss him walking through the door with that big, happy grin.  Even though I knew Jim could also be a very private person, his smile was always brightest when he spoke of Chris and his boys.  It was so evident that he loved you and was proud of you the most and always will be.  Peace be with you all.

As part of the Lindt Australian Team, I was blessed to have met Jim in Germany in 2015 and see him again in Chicago in 2019. He was a natural born leader; He went out of his way to make myself and my colleagues feel part of the broader Lindt family and a genuinely great guy. 
I still tell everyone about his style and pride of donning an amazing Blue Lindt Tie, with the Lindor Balls, unforgettable. 
You have touched the lives of many Jim and left a wonderful legacy. 


I am very grateful to have met Jim via Lindt. I am the Sales Director at Lindt Australia, and whenever I reached out across the globe for some information or ideas, Jim was always the first to respond and share his knowledge. On several occasions that I travelled to the US, Jim always went out of his way to introduce me to everyone, show me around, organize factory and Market Tours, and of course, entertain me in some great restaurants and bars. I had my first ever Tomahawk steak with Jim, which is just one of many happy memories I have with him. He will be sadly missed by all.

When I interviewed at Lindt, one of the first people I met with was Jim. Within 10 minutes, we were both hysterically laughing and I knew right away that if I got that job, he was going to be one of my mentors. Some of my fondest and funniest moments at Lindt were with Jim. There was something so familiar about the way he looked out for me and the advice he would share. It wasn’t until he was diagnosed last year that I shared with him how much I looked up to him, and how he reminded me of my late father in so many ways. When I left Lindt to start my own business, he was so incredibly supportive. Even then, he was one of my biggest cheerleaders and I will forever feel sadness knowing I won’t ever see his name pop up on my phone again, “Hey Rockstar! How are you doing? You running the world yet?”  He advocated for me in every room and made it known he’d always be in my corner. My whole heart and deepest sympathy goes out to his family.   This picture from 2018 is framed in my house and will always be how I remember him. He was truly one of a kind and I feel so incredibly lucky to have known him in this life. Rest easy buddy. I know my dad was probably first in line to shake your hand. 

My condolences to Chris and the boys.  Jim was a good friend and had such a positive attitude.  Jim had a lot of great qualities but what i remember most was he was always willing to lend a helping hand.  We shared a lot of laughs together.  Rest in peace.
