On September 25th, 2024, as the sun rose over Nantucket Sound, Helen Patricia Trevisani (Pat), passed peacefully at her Hyannis Port home with her husband of 64 years, Robert (Bob) Trevisani, by her side.
Daughter of Ira (Eddy) and Margaret (Peggy) Meister, and younger sister of Peter. Pat was a private person and did things her own way. She was raised in Belmont, Massachusetts, attended Beaver Country Day school and graduated from Finch College in New York City in 1956. After Finch, Pat became a flight attendant for American Airlines, and often told stories of the people and adventures she had along the way.
According to Pat, the best thing that ever happened to her was the marriage to her husband Bob in 1960. Shortly after they married, Pat and Bob had four cherished children, Pamela, Margaret, Robert and Peter. She was also blessed with nine grandchildren, Courtney, Siena, Doug, Robby, Sumner, Elizabeth, Blake, Luke, and Pierce. They are all thriving and brought her great joy. She is also survived by daughter in-law Wendy who lives in Santa Fe, NM, and sons-in-law Hank Erbe of Hyannis Port, MA and Kevin Rodman of Westport, CT.
Pat played competitive tennis for 20 years at the Wightman Tennis Center in Weston, MA and then another 20 years at Jonathan’s Landing in Jupiter, FL. She continued to play almost every day through her 87th birthday. Outside of being a wife, mother and grandmother, tennis was Pat’s favorite activity.
In addition to tennis, Pat loved flowers, gardening and the music of Elvis Presley. She is a former President of the Weston Country Garden Club and served as a docent at the Golden Ball Tavern in Weston, MA. She enjoyed reading and always had a deep curiosity for the American Revolution.
Pat was a great friend to many. She believed that the relationships she had with her good friends very much enriched her life with Bob. Pat left this life the same way she lived it, with dignity, a care for others and a heart full of love.
Her body was laid to rest in Osterville, MA.
Donations in memory of Pat may be made to St. Andrew's by the Sea, P.O. Box 832, Hyannis Port, MA 02647.
