Francis L Traill

Traill, Francis L. “Fran” of Dennis Port, formerly of Melrose, September 14, 2012, age 77. Fran was a Hall of Fame High School athlete at Melrose High School as well as a Navy Veteran and also had a brief career as a Professional Baseball Player. He was a member of Plumber’s Local 12 for 53 years. Fran had always been an avid golfer and spent much of his retirement with his friends at his favorite Cape Cod golf courses. He is survived by his brother, Paul and two sisters Eleanor and Susan. He is also survived by Mrs. Lois M. Traill, daughter Kathleen and her husband Andrew, son Michael and his wife Carol, son Steven and his wife Nellie and son Timothy as well as several loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and dozens of friends. Visiting hours will be held Sunday, September 23, 2012 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at Doane Beal & Ames Funeral Home at 260 Main Street in West Harwich, MA. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. A funeral Mass will be held at Holy Trinity Church in West Harwich, MA on Monday, September 24, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be private.
