Noke, a lifelong artist would often say art wasn’t what she did, it was the essence of who she was. Known by many who loved her as Dama, she was a shining light who touched so many lives with her selfless heart and her incredible laugh. She truly made everyone around her smile, feel loved and appreciated. Dama’s sense of humor and silliness was special and she knew how to have fun better than anyone. She was forever young at heart. A truly compassionate and joyful soul.
Dama studied painting under Roger Curtis for many years and then with Marc Cote at Framingham State University where she transitioned to printmaking, which became her passion. She belonged to several Artists Guilds including the Framingham Artists Guild, the Watertown Artists Guild and the Copley Society of Boston. Her art has been shown around the world and is part of many private collections.
She is a published author having written a children’s book “ feathers”.
If you asked her what brought her her greatest joy, it would be her family. Daughter Hillary (Noke) Temple and husband Jeffrey, son Gary Noke and wife Kate, grandchildren Justin and wife Yoko, Chelsea and husband Jordan, Jessie, Matt and wife Kelly and Henry. She also leaves 4 great grandchildren Rory, William, Piper and Emma, and her beautiful nieces Pamela, Lindsey, Cheryl, Kristie, Tammy and Melody along with their spouses and families.
God Bless you Dama, until we see you again. We love you…more than you will ever know.
A remembrance service will be held Saturday June 3 from 1-3 pm at Harbor Church, 957 Falmouth Rd. Hyannis, MA 02601 - dress: Happy.
