I want to take this opportunity to reflect on the Life of my Lovely Aunt Dorothy Johnson. As all of you know she was a loving, caring, as well as a warm, and friendly person. 

 She loved her family and the Great Family Functions. 

She loved simple pleasures in life as well as traveling and experiencing with new things in life.  She would come with me on the Steamship Boat.  She always enjoyed sitting up in the wheel house.

Aunt Dot loved her co-workers at the Falmouth Hospital for the 10 years that she worked there.  She always looked forward to their Christmas Parties every year, because she loved to dance.

She liked quiet time with me when we went out to breakfast or dinner.  She would always reflect on her job and open up to me on her likes and dislikes on any subject matter including family and life in general. I would give her advice but in the end the decisions that were made were always her own.

As you may or may not know, Dorothy developed dementia with Alzheimer's disease.  Without going into any great detail, she had 24 hour care.  The last four years have been very difficult for her and her entire staff.  I was determined to give my Aunt the very best care.  She had lots of great care givers. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the following caregivers: Dr. Benoit and his wonderful staff, Maria Fernandes, Dawn Cordoza, my sister Jeannette Tobey, my cousin Shelly Mendes, and my brother Arnold DeBarros.  A special thank you for the  medical staff at Elderly Services, Cerebral Palsy, the staff at Rockland Trust, and Atty John Rogers, and last but not least my Uncle Lenny, Dorothy's Brother who guided me through the whole process. 

I would not have been able to accomplish this without your assistance. I will be forever grateful to all of you.  I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Harry and I are so sorry to hear that Dottie has passed.  Our prayers are with all of the family.  I will miss her ready smile and expressions of care whenever we would meet.  Dottie has gone ahead to be with her Lord, but she will also help to prepare a place for us so that we can meet again and share the love that we knew here on earth.  Our memories will never forget the love we shared with her.  Dottie, you will be missed but our hearts will always be full.

Aunt Dotti, You were a wonderful Aunt and Godmother. I remember all the games you taught me as a child, sledding down Oak Street, you giving me my first hair cut and you taking me to get my ears pierced for the first time in Aunt Snooky's kitchen. You were there from the minute I was born and naming me and You continued to be a big part of my life  until the very end. I will always love and miss you very much. May you be at peace now. I remember when we went sledding on Oak Street and how you took me to get my ears pierced for the first time and even gave me my first haircut.You have always been a big part of my life from the day I was born and you were there and named me. Auntie Dottie your memories are everlasting, we will never forget you. We understand when God calls us home, it's without question. So get your everlasting rest with The Lord....we love you, Sam, Sherrie, Rogetta and Megan.
