I still think of Ken's and my friend and remember the fun times that Dennis and I had together in undergrad school at R.P.I, now V.C.U!  Those were fun and crazy days, always to be cherished.  I am so glad that we were able to maintain our friendship with you two over the years.

I pray that you are doing well now and enjoying your grandchildren immensely.
Take care and know that we think of you and Dennis often.

I wondered why I didn't receive a Christmas card this year
and was thinking about you both. I went on line and saw his obituary.

Jeanne, It is still hard to grasp the passing of Dennis, he being such a large and happy part of my college days and  adulthood. He always made me laugh, feel important, motivated me like no other, we were kindred spirits. Feeling so honored, Jerry and I to witness your intimate wedding, I still have the picture on my bookcases. Always there to encourage, support, challenge and appreciate, Dennis was a very giving and generous person to those he cared about. Excited with the prospect of him coming to Richmond for a visit last spring, I was devastated to hear of his passing and felt robbed of the opportunity to visit one more time and in some way, not knowing, being able to say our goodbyes. There is truly an empty spot in his passing which just knowing he was there, a true friend, one could always count on no matter how long it had been since our last contact, there will always be a void. He was one of a kind and a true friend. I wish in later years, life had not gotten in the way so much of having more visits and time together. I am being reminded in this stage of life, just how   precious life is and we never know how much time we or our friends have left on this earth and how important it is to stay in closer contact with those we care about. I think of you often Jeanne and hope you are carrying on well. You were such a strong support for Dennis and exactly the type of person he needed as a partner in life. I feel blessed to have known you both and treasure every moment we had together. Thank you so much for sending me the pictures of all of us together. I have found others since and they still put a smile on my face thinking of those crazy, fun, magical times, especially all the New Years Eve's together. I am enjoying sharing in your life on fb and still look forward to talking to you soon.

We are so sorry to hear this news! Dennis had helped us with our Cape rental properties since 2002! He truly cared about his customers and I am truly grateful to have known Dennis. He taught me the "ins and outs" of dealing with rental properties and was always upbeat and pleasant - a true professional! He will be missed.

I am so sorry to see that Dennis has passed.  I just discovered it today when I tried calling his business and his cell phone as well as his home.  I know you and Dennis have been through much sadness together in the passing of your son, Matt, and only hope that there is some small comfort in knowing that he is now joined with him.
As you know, Dennis and I go way back to our old college days at V.C.U. when it was still called Richmond Professional Institute.  We had many a fun and crazy time together while we were both in the drama dept. at R.P.I. and I am glad that we were able to keep in touch throughout the years.  Since Ken and I had received a card from him this past Christmas, I was shocked to learn he had passed.  He never 'let on' to us that he was ill.  I pray that you will find the strength to carry on without your life partner.  I always enjoyed knowing you too and know that you have always been a supportive and kind mate to him. Dennis aka Mr. Carey was one of my teachers in high school. He was very nice and patient with us kids. As an adult I would see him occasionally in town and he always had a smile and something pleasant to say. I will miss him.

Dear Jeanne and family, I am very saddened to read the news of Dennis' passing.  He was my friend, and one of the highlights of my summers in Hyannis, with stories and laughter, sharing and advising, and then more laughter (for nearly thirty years). He was a stop on my summer walks into town (he always made time for visits, even with the phone ringing, people dropping in, and constant introductions). The year my sister died, I shared this in a visit with Dennis. He sat quietly, and then shared the news of Matt, which happened just six months prior. His heart was large enough to listen even while still feeling his own loss. If the Cape Cod Magazines are missing in his office, it is because he saved them for me.  We would always first connect for the summer season at the Hyannisport July 4th parade. I will be thinking of him at the parade this year, driving in his red convertible and loving every minute of it.  May memories comfort you; may prayers sustain you now and in the days and years to come. He will be missed so much by so many. I will very much miss him. Rest in Peace, Dennis.

My Wife and I would like to express our  condolences  and deppest sympathy on the loss of such a wonderful person.It is not surprising to find out he was a teacher. He took the time to show how things should be done- from customer service, to real estate to just the basic example of how to treat others.

I have been a customer of Dennis's for  20 years.  He was more that a realtor to me, I thought of him as my friend.  He shared many stories of your family with me.  I am deeply saddened by his death.  I will miss him dearly.  Pat Barrett, Breakwater Shores.

My wife Carol, my daughter Bethany and I all loved Dennis. I would visit him with my baby granddaughter Sadie to chat and exchange stories. He was a good man and we will miss him greatly..
