Darrell Anthony Russ

Darrell was born on September 6, 1986, to Rufus and Stacia Russ of Cape Cod. He grew up playing "King Of The Court" at Hyannis East Elementary School and followed in his father's footsteps playing football as a lineman at Barnstable High School. He graduated with honors in 2004. He attended Zion Union Church for most of his adolescent years where he participated in youth activities including the junior choir. Darrell had a giving spirit and could light up a room with his smile. Darrell was known for always looking out for others. He often said his purpose here was to help people and that he did.

Darrell is survived by his mother Stacia Russ of Panama City, FL; siblings, Anthony Russ of Hyannis MA, Joslyn Russ of Pittsburgh, PA, Tacara Russ of North Bergen, NJ, Skyla Russ of North Bergen, NJ; grandparents, Rufus and Betty Russ of Hyannis, MA; aunt Katrina Russ of North Bergen, NJ; God Parents, Sammy and Sherrie Donalson, and a host of other family and friends. Darrell is predeceased by his father, Rufus Russ III.

Internment will be at the Oak Neck Cemetery in Hyannis, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a reception from 3pm to 7pm at The Elks Club located at 852 Bearses Way in Hyannis MA.
