Danah (Zimmerman) DeMartin

Daughter of Stephen Zimmerman of Easton and the late Arlene “Goldie” (Saltzman) Zimmerman, Danah was raised and educated in Easton where she graduated from Oliver Ames High School. She went on to Bridgewater State University where she earned her BS degree in accounting. Always up for an adventure, Danah spent a great deal of time in the late 1990’s sailing with her friend, Randy, out of Newburyport. She traveled to Africa on a safari and enjoyed touring London and Brussels, ultimately living in all three places for a short period of time. In 2004 she married the late David Young of Taunton and together they moved to Clearwater, FL in 2019 to semi-retire. After David’s passing in 2023 she took up dog walking and dog sitting and was never happier. Her true love was being with her beloved dogs, Sushi, Molly, and Logan. Danah enjoyed her Tampa poker group as well as biking 12 miles each morning throughout the trails of Tampa. She was an avid reader, especially murder mysteries, and would normally read 2-3 books each week.

In addition to her father, Danah is survived by her son, Eric DeMartin and his wife Jessica of Hudson; her grandchildren, Lucy Carolyn DeMartin and her partner Michael Seymour of Westminster, Eleanor Elizabeth DeMartin of Hudson, and Clara Rose DeMartin of Hudson; her great-grandchildren, Katie and Molly Seymour of Westminster; her sister, Randy Zimmerman of Ormond Beach, FL; her brothers, Adam Zimmerman and his wife Amy of Arlington, VA, and Glenn Zimmerman and his wife, Jessica of Easton; her nephew and niece, Nathan and Ana Zimmerman of Easton; her biological father, Stanley Wigman of Tampa, FL, and her first husband, Bert DeMartin of Barnstable.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025 at 1:00 PM in the Agudas Achim Cemetery, 1000 Pearl St., Brockton. Due to Passover there will not be a shiva.
