Barbara was raised in Milton, MA, before moving to Harwich with her husband in the mid 1970’s where she was devoted to and raised her three children, Peter, Chris and Cindy. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her children, grandchildren and her dog Moguls. A compassionate woman, she opened her heart and home to many people over the years. She was outgoing and very active in the community. She was loved by all, loved life and lived it fully. She will be greatly missed.
A talented artist and seamstress, Barbara volunteered her time as the costume designer for the Harwich Junior Theatre for several years. Barbara loved to travel and spent time as a member of the Cape Cod Ski Club. Along with travelling to Europe several times, she enjoyed getting away to her house in New Hampshire and escaping the winter to her home in Florida.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Thursday, February 12th from 4-7 pm at Doane Beal and Ames Funeral Home, 160 West Main Street, Hyannis, MA. There will be a private burial in Milton, MA.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Barbara’s name to the Harwich Junior Theatre, 105 Division Street, West Harwich, MA 02671 or the Joslin Diabetes Center at Joslin.org.
