Ann Marie Ward

Ann Marie Ward, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully. Born on August 23, 1955, in Taunton, Massachusetts, Ann Marie was the beloved daughter of Charles and Irene Seekell. She was raised in North Attleboro, where her love of family and simple joys began to shape the warm, nurturing person so many came to love. Ann Marie graduated from Southeastern Massachusetts University in 1977 earning a BS in Accounting. She later returned to North Attleboro to raise her own family.

Ann Marie’s life was a testament to love, kindness, and devotion. She found great joy in baking, reading, spending time with friends and family, and relaxing by the lake. She especially treasured over 40 years of memories with the Tree Day Crew. The traditions, laughter, and love shared with them brought her endless joy and were a highlight of every year. In more recent years, she was honored to become a part of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, where she found deep connection and purpose alongside a community of supportive women.

Above all, family always came first for Ann Marie. She poured her heart into every relationship and found her greatest happiness in the time spent with those she loved most.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 47 years, Frank Ward; her loving daughters, Suzy St. George, Allison Tyra and her husband JT; her four treasured grandchildren: David and Claire St. George, and Charlie and Will Tyra; and her dear siblings, Charles Seekell, James Seekell, and Annette Seekell-Loso. She will also be deeply missed by her extended family and many friends.

Ann Marie will be remembered for her generous heart, her gentle spirit, and the warmth she brought to every gathering. Visitation hours are planned for 4:00 – 7:00pm on Friday, April 25 at Doane, Beal & Ames (160 West Main St. Hyannis, MA 02061). A private burial will be held separately. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you remember Ann Marie by spending time with loved ones and finding joy in life’s simple pleasures.
