Rev. Jack Lee Bailey

Funeral Services for Rev. Jack Lee Bailey of Huntsville will be at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, June 29, 2012 at Second Baptist Church of Huntsville. The family will receive visitors at Huntsville Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Jack was born in Lubbock, Texas on September 14, 1934 to Zelda Lee Carpenter Bailey and Jack Edward Bailey. He passed away at his home In Huntsville on June 24, 2012. Jack was preceded in death by Loretta Gayle Blasingame Bailey, his wife of 48 years. Survivors include Wife, Lois Fae Bailey of Huntsville; Daughter, Rachel Gayle Richards and her husband Adam of Friendswood; Sons, Stephen Lee Bailey and his wife Angela of Austin, Philip Gee Bailey and his wife Julie of Fort Mill, South Carolina; Brothers, Ralph Richard Bailey of Denton, Arnold Edward Bailey of Murchison; Grandchildren, Jessica, Elizabeth, Jordan, Sophia, Olivia, and Michael.

Jack graduated from Denton High School in Denton, Texas and later attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Rev. Bailey pastored many churches including: Carter Baptist Church - Bowie, Texas; Immanuel Baptist Church - Monahans, Texas; Bel-Aire Baptist Church - Hobbs, New Mexico; Calvary Baptist Church - Brownfield, Texas; Memorial Baptist Church - Channelview, Texas; First Baptist Church - Goodrich, Texas; Magnolia Baptist Church - Cleveland, Texas (interim); Point Blank Community Church - Point Blank, Texas. He was also proud to be a Master Mason of the Masonic Order, Galena Park, TX.
