I loved Mr. Williams like he was my own father, actually gave me my first paddling lol.....still loved him I remember spending the night at his house with his daughters very family oriented and loving, he will truly be missed!

It’s been a year, and yet it seems like forever that we haven’t seen your face or listen to all your craziness. We miss you a lot. Keep watching over us, we will always carry you in our hearts.

Mr. Willie Williams was a great man upon my arrival at  Johnson High School. As a  new employee at Johnson High School Huntsville City school system.  As a computer technician I faced many obstacles it was Mr. Williams that encourage me to never give up. Mr Williams was my Boss and he was like family to me. Mr. Williams should have been given head principal job at Johnson. When he did not  receive that job it devastated him. Mr. William loved people and he beleived in prayer. When the school sytem looked over Mr.Williams for a job he deserved more than anybody those who were involved know the truth. Mr. Williams loved his family  more than anything in this world. I know because he told me many times. God bless the family my heart is sad but Mr Williams is free.

I will always cherish the love you had for our family. We will miss you. I pray that your family will be comforted by the God of all comfort. Rest in peace.

Cousin you always showed your Aunt Annie Lee and Uncle Ben so much love and our family was blessed Everytime you came through Birmingham to see us.  We are so sad that that love is gone now but it will never be forgotten. You were there for us when Ben Jr passed and we will always remember you as you spoke at Uncle Ben funeral. It's hard to say goodbye to you especially for Gail, Bobby and me" Baby Girl "Marsha".  May God grant you to Rest In His Peace and your family be comforted in His care.

Mr. Williams was a very dear and loved friend.  I know I've known him for almost 30 years and you couldn't ask for a better friend. He will truly be missed I think about him a lot. We had a lot of good conversations. 

I will never forget how Mr. Willie Williams received me when I arrived at J.O. Johnson High School as it's Head Basketball Coach.  He invited me to his home and treated me like family. His support throughout my tenure was awesome. We had a special bond as former athletes. I was looking forward to a visit with him on my next trip to Huntsville during the week of Thanksgiving. I knew he would give me advice on building construction and other things pertaining to life. It would have been a 15 year reunion. I extend condolences to his family. My prayers are with you. Wille and I were classmates in the First  grade and developed a friendship that lasted through the years. After High school we lost touch until a few years ago he called me out of the blue and we reconnected. So sorry to have lost him at such an early age.  My condolences to the family. RIP you will be missed.

Mr. Willie "Morris" Williams "Bill' was a devoted Brother-In-Law. He was as many stated truly a "Gentle" Giant. He was kind, loving, hospitable a devoted Father, Brother, Husband and Friend. He was extremely giving and caring. He will truly be missed. I enjoyed going to his house during the Summer for Cook-outs and Barbecues along with other Family and Friends my heart is hurting, but Heaven has and Angel.


I had the privilege of meeting Mr. Williams back during the 2010-2011 school year with N.O.W.(Not On Our Watch) pilot program was implemented in Johnson High School during that year. The program would have never had the impact it had if it were not for Mr. William's stamp of approval. That's just how trusted and influential he was. It was a privilege to come to his office and sit there and talk to him about all facets of life. He was a mentor, an encourager, a great father and great friend. I remember coming up to the school one day during that year when it was cold. He had on a long trench coat and a brown fedora hat. That hat looked so smooth that I had to ask him where he got it. He looked over at me, took the hat off, and gave it to me. That's the kind of man he was. He was an honorable, soft spoken, reflective, giving man that strived for happiness in his personal life and managed to attain it. I spoke to him earlier this year and he seemed to be happy to hear from me. He mad everybody feel important. I hope I was able to feel as important as he made me feel. Til me meet again Mr. Williams, rest well.

Bill, I will forever remember you and all the craziness you did just to make us laugh, I know. A white potato will always an ice potato and why did you go and die like them people who was dying that had never died before. Rest well, our friend and you will forever be in our hearts. 

I first met Mr. Williams as an Assistant Principal at J. O. Johnson High School, 1997-2001, when my daughter was a student there.  He was a person that never met a stranger.  He would treat you like he has known you all his life.  He had an open door policy when you needed to discuss a situation with him.  A very personable and friendly person he was.   Not only as an Assistant Principal, but I knew him as a Deacon and Usher at my church for many years.  My prayers and condolences to all members of his family.  May God’s comfort and strength be with you all during your loss.

Mr. Williams was my assistant principal at J. O. Johnson High School from1993-95. He always had kind and encouraging words along with a smiling face. That still held true until the last time we spoke about five years ago. He was truly loved. He will truly be missed.

I met Willie in the early 90’s all due to the love we share for 64-66 Chevy Trucks, years later he actually became my next door neighbor  Humble, loving & caring for people was what he was all about, he loved growing things in his garden, you could see him on his knees with his face to the ground praying for the success of his garden. He loved being a principal and loved his students at Johnson High School. He was family and we all loved him. He will truly be missed & his memory will live forever in our hearts. 

I was a teacher at Johnson High School for 20 years. I remember Mr. Williams as a much-loved principal who was a friend, confidante and supporter of our students. He welcomed all to his office on second floor with a smile and acceptance, no matter what the problem. He was nice and kind. As one former student wrote, Mr. Williams was a gentle giant.

Mr. Williams was a mentor to all who came through the halls of JOJ while he was in leadership.  His memory lives on through all of the good deeds he did for us.  He will be missed.  


Mr. Williams is an icon to us all from JOJ. He was not only an assistant principal, disciplinarian in many ways, a teacher of not only school but also life, a friend and a father figure to more than one can count. Recently, he was giving my boyfriend and I tricks on fishing at Ditto Landing while with his grand-daughter. Even then, he still had that spark in him. His presence was known wherever he stepped foot and it will forever live within us, amongst Huntsville and the halls of JOJ. 

Mr. Williams always had a smile. He was the assistant Principle but probably the most present and favorite of them all. Myself, my husband, my brother, and in laws all had the pleasure of being under his wing. He was a gentle giant. Let his legacy live on. 

A great princiPAL indeed that will be truly missed. I remember being in his office and he used to show me pictures of his grapes and how he only relied on the rain from Mother Nature. That always stuck with me. Rip Mr. Williams and my condolences to his family. #Jaguar4Life 💙💛
