Mr. William Enoch Martin

William Enoch Martin May 15, 1926 – October 30, 2016 William (Bill) Martin, age 90, of Meridianville, went to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday at his residence in Anniston, AL. Mr. Martin was born in Greensboro, AL. He retired from the United States Postal Service in 1990. He served his country during World War II with the 80th Division 2nd Battalion, 318th Infantry Regiment Company G, under General Patton. He received 2 Purple Hearts and the Bronze Star; among others. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Dolores M. Bryant and Granddaughter, Dawn Marie. Mr. Martin is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Margaret Martin. His brother, Fred Martin and sister, Carolyn Bayles. His children, Donald Martin (Gloria) of Anniston, AL; Gary Martin (Charlene) of Huntsville, Betty Jackson (Lee) of Huntsville, George Martin (Kim) of Huntsville. Also a long loving line of 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 2, 2016 from 1:00pm until 3:00pm, with funeral services at 3:00pm at Valhalla Funeral Home. Interment to immediately follow in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
