William E. Dunson

He married Daphne Raper on September 4, 20004 in Huntsville, Alabama. He served in the US Air Force from 1973-1977 and from 1997- 2009 served with the Air Force Reserves earning the rank of Sr. Master Sergeant (E8). Bill was a doting husband, involved dad and pawpaw. Active in scouts for his daughters and son. He also believed anytime was time for ice cream. Bill never met a stranger and was a kind friend to all. His Family grieves their loss but celebrate that Bill now is with his father in heaven.

Carmel, IL, MaryAnne Dunson Winn of Columbia, MD, Sarah (Dunson) Stisher of Huntsville, AL, Annie (Dunson) Burwell of Huntsville, AL, and Xavier Dunson; 12 grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn Lones of Huntsville, AL and Martha Eberhard of Grove City, OH; and brother Thurman Duke Dunson of Huntsville, AL.

He is preceded by his first wife, Margaret Shea Dunson, and his parents, Thurman and Annie Dunson.

A visitation for Bill will be held Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home, 698 Winchester Rd Ne, Huntsville, Alabama 35811, followed by a celebration of life service at 1:00 PM. Burial in Valhalla Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church Huntsville, AL and Clearview Cancer Institute.
