Walker George Patrick, 82, of Huntsville passed away Tuesday, October 17th. Walker was born in Franklin County, AL to Clarence and Verlon Patrick in 1941 and moved as a family to Huntsville in 1953. After graduating from SR Butler High School in 1959, he joined the Air Force. Returning home after serving his country for 5 years, he married the girl next door, Regina Clement, in November 1965. He worked hard to provide for his family, drawing on his skills learned in the Air Force to work as an electronics technician.
Walker loved being a father and sharing his love of woodworking, model trains and garden fishponds with his grandchildren. From his father, he picked up a love of gardening and roses. He was avid about walking and always made a home for a small dog or two. Walker’s love for his wife was without bounds; tireless and strong, he had a big heart and provided extended care for family members in need.
He is survived by his wife, Regina Patrick; a sister, Rebecca Wade and husband, George; sons: Alan, Timothy, Brian Patrick and wife, Laura; 2 grandchildren, Amelia and David; niece, Donna Dixon, and nephew, Mike Wade. Walker is predeceased by his parents, Clarence & Verlon.
