He was preceded in death by his parents, Ottis Grantland Lindsey and Mary Elizabeth Lindsey; and his father and mother-in-law, Edward and Mary Lee Cabler.
Tony was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Tony was born in Blakely, GA, on August 13, 1948. Born of a military family, he lived in several states and countries; including Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, California, Austria, and Africa. He graduated from Sparkman High School in 1966. He served in the United States Air Force as a chief aircraft mechanic. He was stationed in Sumter, South Carolina at Shaw Air Force Base where he began a family of his own. Following the military, he became a proud owner of Creative Dental Laboratory in Huntsville, AL. He was certified as an Alabama Dental Technician. He was a member of the North Alabama Street Rod Association where he made many lasting friendships.
When Tony was not working, he cherished being at home. Whether he was spending time with his family, shopping with his wife, rebuilding street rods, going to rod runs, or taking his grandsons to drag strips and car shows, he was always teaching precise technique, sharing knowledge, and wisdom. He taught love, kindness, responsibility, and respect for others.
Tony Lindsey will be missed by many family and friends. May precious memories and fun times of Tony be with you forever.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to CCI and Hospice Family Care for their care and support.
