Thomas Jay Pond

Thomas proudly served with the US Air Force for over 24 years holding the rank of Senior Master Sergeant at his retirement in 1979. He transitioned into the civil service until his next retirement and after this he taught tax classes for H & R Block as well as did taxes at home until 2022. Away from work he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and teaching bible studies.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Nancy Pond; family from Jean Pond, Judith Ann Burns, deceased, (Ronald Burns), grandchild Michael Burns (Brigette), great grandchildren Bailey, Katelynn, grandchild Rebecca Evans (Rodney), great grandchildren Cody, Ryley, Kelly; son Rick Murray (Oma K) grandchild Jessica, Garrett, great grandchildren Grace, grandchild Emily, great grandchildren Olivia; son Robert Murray (Jenny), grandchild Ryan Murray (Rachel), great grandchildren Brooklynn, Beinlee, Briana, grandchild Crystal (Ryan), great grandchildren Dylan, Madeline, and great great grandchildren Liam Nevaeh, Naomie Emmarie; family from Nancy Pond, Christopher Roberts, deceased, (Jill Roberts), grandchild Cody Connley; son Byron K Roberts, grandchild Dylan Roberts; son Douglas A Roberts (Amanda), grandchildren Ava May and Miles; sister Jaylean Chrismon, sister Tammy Schierholt and brother Rick Pond.

Thomas was preceded in death by his first wife Norma Jean Pond; parents John and Ada Pond.

A visitation for Thomas will be held Friday, March 10, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home, 698 Winchester Rd Ne, Huntsville, Alabama 35811, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 PM.
